THIRD GRADE NEWSLETTER

SEPTEMBER 13-27

Dear Parents,

We are almost halfway through the first quarter and the third graders have been working hard. Here are some things we will be doing the next few weeks.

Language Arts- The students will be reading stories about Johnny Appleseed and doing various activities about his life. We will also be writing using sequence words.

Math- The next unit we will be doing is Unit 3 about multiplication. Please see more information on the back of this letter.

Science-Our next two chapters are about plant parts and animal parts. We will be doing various experiments with plants.

Social Studies-Transportation, communication, and goods and services are the various topics we will be discussing. The students will be learning about services provided by workers and how goods are transported in this country.

Religion- Chapter 4 is about women of faith in the Bible and Chapter 5 is about Jesus.
