Dear Parents:

This year in computer class, I am again teaching keyboarding to the 4^th and 5^th graders, the entire Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access) to the 6^th and 7^th graders, and the 8^th graders will be doing projects utilizing the skills taught over the past two years. We have started with a stock project designed to give our students a snapshot of how the stock market works as well as develop and hone skills with creating graphs, spreadsheets, and presentations on the computer. Eighth graders will also be learning a little bit of HTML this year, as well as doing some rudimentary animation in the spring. I look forward to an exciting year!
