Barbara J. & Bernard P. Concannon, Jr. Family Scholarship Fund

We are pleased to announce a scholarship opportunity through the Barbara J. and Bernard P. Concannon Scholarship Fund. This scholarship’s purpose is to support worthy students from St. Peter’s Parish School who might otherwise have financial difficulty attending a Catholic High School in the Greater Kansas City region—the principle criterion for selection of worthy nominees for this award is financial need. Other criteria to be considered include good citizenship and academic performance.

The Concannon family is offering this scholarship to students entering high school in the fall of 2007. The recipient/s will be notified by the Concannon Family on or before March 10, allowing a timely enrollment decision by the selected student/s.

As this scholarship is in honor of family—the Concannon family educated all seven of their children at St. Peter’s—we would like you to write a brief essay about the importance of family. The essay is to be word-processed, no more than one page in length, double-spaced, in a 12-point font, one-inch margins on an 8.5” x 11” white paper. You should have a title centered at the top of the page—do not make a separate title page. Your name should be centered under the title. Turn in the essay attached to this form.
