ADULT FAITH FORMATION

The St. Peter's Adult Faith Formation Team was formed under the name St. Peter's Spiritual Formation Team. St. Peter's vision statements says St. Peter's will be "... a welcoming parish, a catalyst for spiritual formation, the living word for the community, and an advocate to those in need." The mission of the Adult Faith Formation Team is to lead and assist St. Peter's parish in being a catalyst for spiritual growth for its members and the community.

As the Adult Faith Formation Team began its mission, it set a vision for what it strived to accomplish in the first three to five years. The Team's work focuses on presenting the adult faith community with a variety of educational and spiritual opportunities to encourage development of the following characteristics:

• Adult parishioners exhibit a mature faith
• Parishioners are knowledge of and comfortable with a variety of prayer forms
• Parishioners are energized internally and externally to express and share their spirituality
• Parishioners respect and invite diversity of spiritual experience
• The parish has a widespread reputation for providing and indentifying an extraordinary array of spiritual formation opportunities for its parishioners and the community
